A SORT OF HOMECOMING
/ EARTHQUAKE IN ABRUZZO / 2009

Collettara (L'Aquila). I wanted to tell the story of two families who have returned in their hometown, two months after the earthquake of L'Aquila. Although the town was not completely damaged, very few residents had come back home. Colettara looked like a ghost town and the few families returned home carrying an invisible burden of fears. Life seemed to start again, but with unusual habits that are the results of the safety rules that now are customary for every inhabitant of the area.
